Data Deletion
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your data from Greeto, operated by Northstar Edtech Private Limited. It supplements Section 7 ("Your Rights and Choices") and Section 5 ("Data Retention") of our Privacy Policy.
Who should use this page
There are two different kinds of people whose data Greeto processes, and the right way to request deletion depends on which one applies to you:
- Business Users — the businesses with a Greeto account/workspace. Use the steps below to request deletion of your account and workspace data.
- End Users — customers who message a Business User over WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, or Telegram. Greeto processes your messages on that business's behalf and instruction, so we cannot act on a deletion request directly. Contact the business you messaged; they control that conversation data.
How a Business User requests deletion
To request deletion of your Greeto account and workspace data, email us at the address below with:
- The email address and workspace/company name associated with your Greeto account.
- A clear statement that you are requesting deletion of your account and associated data.

Removing an Instagram connection
A Business User can stop Greeto's access to an Instagram account at any time, without contacting us:
- In Greeto: Settings → Integrations → Instagram → Disconnect. We delete the account's access token immediately and stop receiving its messages and comments.
- In the Instagram app: Settings → Apps and websites → remove Greeto.
Removing a Facebook Page connection
- In Greeto: Settings → Integrations → Facebook Messenger → Disconnect. We delete the Page's access token immediately and stop receiving its messages and comments.
- On Facebook: Settings → Business Integrations → remove Greeto.
Removing a Google Business Profile connection
- In Greeto: Settings → Integrations → Google Business Profile → Disconnect, for each location. When the last location connected with a Google account is disconnected, we revoke Greeto's access with Google and delete the stored token.
- In your Google account: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove Greeto.
Removing a YouTube connection
- In Greeto: Settings → Integrations → YouTube → Disconnect. We stop all access and delete that channel's stored comments right away.
- In your Google account: go to Google security settings and remove Greeto. Remaining YouTube data is deleted within 30 days.
Conversations, reviews and location details already received stay in your workspace until you ask us to delete them using the steps above.
What happens next
- We verify the request comes from an authorized user of the workspace before acting on it.
- We delete or anonymize your account information, connected-channel credentials, and message data, except where we are required to retain records for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes (see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy).
- Where Greeto has stored data received via Meta's APIs (for example, WhatsApp Business Account details, Instagram account details, access tokens, messages, or comments), that data is deleted from our systems as part of the same process, consistent with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
- Where Greeto has stored data received via Google's APIs (for example, Google account email, location details, reviews, replies, or tokens), that data is deleted as part of the same process, consistent with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
- We aim to complete deletion requests within a reasonable time and will confirm by email once done.
